About the Role As a Healthcare Software Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain software applications tailored for healthcare environments, including clinics, hospitals, and medical service providers. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and IT teams to build secure, efficient, and user-friendly systems that improve healthcare delivery and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, and maintain healthcare software applications and systems. * Build modules for electronic medical records (EMR/EHR), patient management, appointment scheduling, billing, and reporting. * Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand clinical workflows and translate them into software solutions. * Develop and integrate APIs with medical devices, laboratories, pharmacies, and third-party healthcare systems. * Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy, security, and regulatory standards. * Optimize application performance, reliability, and scalability. * Conduct software testing, debugging, and quality assurance processes. * Maintain technical documentation, system designs, and user manuals. * Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. * Stay updated on emerging healthcare technology trends and digital health innovations. Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field. * Proven experience in software development, preferably in healthcare or enterprise systems. * Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript. * Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL. * Knowledge of RESTful APIs and system integration. * Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications * Experience developing EMR/EHR, hospital management systems, or healthcare applications. * Knowledge of healthcare standards such as HL7 or FHIR. * Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. * Understanding of data security, encryption, and healthcare compliance requirements. * Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments. * Exposure to data analytics or healthcare reporting tools is an advantage.
