Taurus – Bazian Power Plant is seeking a qualified and proactive HSE Engineer to support and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance across plant operations and contractor activities.Main Tasks & Responsibilities:HSE Oversight & ComplianceMonitor contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and legal regulationsConduct routine HSE inspections, audits, and site walkdownsVerify implementation of Permit to Work (PTW) systems for high-risk activitiesReview Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and risk assessments before work executionTrack and follow up HSE observations, unsafe conditions, and corrective actionsIncident Prevention & ReportingIdentify unsafe acts and conditions and intervene when requiredSupport incident, near-miss investigations, and root cause analysisAssist in implementing corrective and preventive actionsMonitor compliance with PPE, housekeeping, and safe work practicesEnsure contractors and subcontractors comply with Taurus HSE standardsTraining & Safety AwarenessVerify competency certificates and training records for high-risk activitiesParticipate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness sessionsDeliver HSE inductions and promote a strong safety culture across the siteProvide coaching and guidance to workforce personnelEmergency PreparednessSupport emergency response planning and emergency drillsEvaluate evacuation readiness, first-aid arrangements, and fire protection systemsPrepare daily and weekly HSE reportsMaintain records for inspections, audits, permits, NCRs, and observationsMonitor HSE KPIs and recommend improvement actionsConduct audits of camps, welfare facilities, and restaurants where applicableCoordination & CommunicationCoordinate with HSE teams, project management, contractors, and operational departmentsParticipate in HSE meetings and progress review sessionsSupport enforcement of contractual HSE obligations and standardsRequirements & Qualifications:EducationBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or related fieldProfessional CertificationsNEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification preferredExperience3–5 years of HSE experience in EPC, construction, power plant, industrial, or oil & gas sectorsMinimum 3 years of industrial HSE experience requiredFamiliarity with ISO, OHSAS, OSHA, NFPA, and international HSE standardsInterested candidates are invited to submit their CVs to: [email protected]
