HVAC Foreman (Electrical / Ducting / HVAC / Piping)

Job Title: HVAC Foreman **Job Type:** Full-Time, Permanent **Location:** UAE Salary : 1500 to 2000 \*on Skills. / Plus Overtime ( with Transport and accommodation ) Job Overview We are seeking an experienced **HVAC Foreman** to supervise and execute HVAC ducting, ventilation, and mechanical piping works on large-scale construction projects. The role involves leading site teams, coordinating with other trades, ensuring quality and safety compliance, and delivering HVAC works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Execution * Supervise and lead HVAC site teams for ducting, ventilation, and piping installations. * Allocate manpower and assign daily tasks to ensure efficient workflow and productivity. * Ensure HVAC installations are carried out as per IFC drawings, approved shop drawings, and method statements. * Provide technical guidance to technicians and subcontractors to ensure proper workmanship and installation tolerances. 2. HVAC Ducting & Ventilation Works * Supervise installation of: * Supply, return, and exhaust ductwork. * Fire-rated ducts where applicable. * Dampers (VCD, FD, SD), access doors, flexible connections, and louvers. * Acoustic lining and thermal insulation. * Ensure correct duct routing, support spacing, air leakage class compliance, and adherence to SMACNA standards. * Coordinate duct pressure testing, leakage testing, and consultant inspections. 3. HVAC & Mechanical Piping Works * Supervise installation of: * Chilled water piping and condenser water piping (if applicable). * Copper refrigerant piping for VRF/VRV systems. * Condensate drain piping and related accessories. * Ensure proper welding/brazing, pipe alignment, slope, flushing, and readiness for pressure testing. * Monitor pipe supports, hangers, sleeves, and penetrations in coordination with civil and architectural teams. 4. Coordination & Interface Management * Coordinate with civil and architectural teams for openings, sleeves, and embedments. * Coordinate with other MEP disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure coordinated installations. * Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and site logistics teams to ensure timely material availability. * Attend daily coordination meetings and provide accurate progress updates. 5. Quality Control & Compliance * Ensure all HVAC works comply with: * UAE and local authority regulations. * Project specifications, approved materials, and relevant standards (SMACNA, ASHRAE, NFPA). * Support QA/QC inspections, RFI submissions, mock-ups, pressure tests, and consultant walkthroughs. * Identify quality issues and implement corrective actions promptly. 6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) * Enforce project HSE policies and conduct toolbox talks. * Ensure PPE compliance, safe lifting practices, and good housekeeping. * Comply with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems including: * Hot work permits * Working at height permits * Confined space entry permits * Report incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately. 7. Documentation & Reporting * Maintain daily manpower allocation and work progress reports. * Assist engineers with: * Material requisitions and tracking * As-built drawing preparation * Installation checklists and testing records * Monitor work progress against the project schedule and highlight constraints early. Key Skills & Competencies * Strong knowledge of HVAC ducting, ventilation, and mechanical piping installations. * Ability to interpret IFC, shop, and coordination drawings. * Familiarity with HVAC testing and commissioning preparation (duct leakage tests, pressure tests, flushing). * Strong leadership, communication, and manpower management skills. * Ability to work efficiently under tight project timelines. Qualifications & Experience * Diploma / ITI / Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC trade. * 8–12 years of HVAC construction experience, including at least 3–5 years as an HVAC Foreman. * UAE project experience is preferred. * Experience in mega projects (high-rise buildings, airports, hospitals, infrastructure, ADNOC projects) is a strong advantage. * Knowledge of relevant HVAC standards and inspection requirements. * Basic computer skills for reporting and coordination.
