Infrastructure Engineer

**Position Title:** Civil / Infrastructure Design & Approvals Engineer **Location:** Business Bay, Dubai, UAE **Department:** Engineering / Infrastructure Projects **Employment Type:** Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Civil / Infrastructure Design & Approvals Engineer to manage the design, submission, approval, and coordination of infrastructure-related works with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), Dubai Municipality (DM), and other relevant government authorities. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engineering designs, obtaining all required permits and No Objection Certificates (NOCs), coordinating with authorities, and ensuring timely approvals for road, landscaping, utility, and infrastructure projects. Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Design * Prepare and submit Spot Level Plans and grading designs. * Design and prepare Landscaping Drawings in compliance with authority requirements. * Prepare Road Cross Sections, road geometry layouts, and related infrastructure drawings. * Design Street Lighting layouts and associated infrastructure. * Prepare engineering drawings, reports, calculations, and technical documentation required for authority submissions. * Ensure all designs comply with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and relevant authority standards and regulations. Authority Submissions & Approvals * Manage the complete approval process with RTA, Dubai Municipality, and other concerned authorities. * Prepare, submit, and obtain approvals for: * Signage NOC * Right of Way (ROW) NOC * Information NOC * Design NOC * Trial Trench NOC * Construction NOC * Coordinate with utility authorities and stakeholders including: * Dubai Municipality * Roads and Transport Authority * Dubai Electricity and Water Authority * Etisalat by e& * du * Other relevant government departments and utility service providers. Project Coordination & Follow-up * Follow up with authorities to secure timely approvals and permits. * Attend technical meetings with authorities, consultants, and clients. * Resolve authority comments and coordinate design revisions as required. * Maintain approval trackers and submission records. * Coordinate with contractors, consultants, surveyors, and utility agencies throughout the project lifecycle. Regulatory Compliance * Ensure all submissions comply with applicable authority regulations and technical standards. * Monitor changes in authority requirements and approval procedures. * Support project teams during construction and permit compliance stages. Mandatory Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline. * Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in infrastructure design and authority approvals within Dubai. * Strong experience in RTA design submissions and approval procedures. * Proven experience obtaining: * Signage NOC * ROW NOC * Information NOC * Design NOC * Trial Trench NOC * Construction NOC * Thorough knowledge of Dubai Municipality, RTA, utility authority, and corridor approval processes. * Must have experience in designing and obtaining approvals for: * Spot Levels * Landscaping Works * Road Cross Sections * Street Lighting Systems * Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related engineering software. * Strong communication and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications * Engineer approved by Dubai Municipality for Road Contracting Activities. * Existing professional relationships and working experience with RTA and relevant authorities. * Experience handling multiple infrastructure projects simultaneously. * UAE driving license preferred.
