IT Business Manager

Job Title: IT & Automation Services Lead / Head of Service Operations Employment Type: Freelance / Contract (with option for full-time employment + company visa after probation, based on performance) Salary Range (Base): AED 3,000 – 6,000 per month (depending on experience) + Commission: 10–15% of net profit from all service projects brought in and delivered by your department **About Us** We are fully fledged IT infrastructure, networking, and automation company (CCTV, gate barriers, home/office automation, networking, cloud security, server setup, VPS migration, data center configuration) and we are rebuilding our service division as a separate, self-sustaining department. We are looking for one person to own, operate, and scale this division — not just as a technician, but as a leader. **Role Overview** You will act as the internal entrepreneur for our service business. You will be responsible for: * Rebuilding the service pipeline (CCTV, networking, automation, servers, VPS, migrations) * Running ads and lead generation (with support from our marketing team) * Hiring and managing sub-technicians or junior engineers for project delivery * Managing end-to-end client projects (quoting, scheduling, quality control, troubleshooting) * Scaling the department so it operates without daily oversight from management * You succeed when the service division becomes profitable, repeatable, and independent. **Key Responsibilities** Business Development & Marketing Coordination Plan and execute digital ads (Google/LinkedIn/local directories) to generate B2B/B2C leads Work with our existing marketing team to create content, case studies, and email campaigns Convert leads into service contracts (installation, migration, maintenance, support) **Operations & Delivery** Perform or supervise: CCTV & wireless installations, gate/barrier automation, home/office automation, printer setup, file/storage servers, data center cabling, VPS configuration/migration. Create standardized processes (SOPs) for each service type Manage project timelines, client communication, and post-installation support **Team Management** Hire and train additional technicians as volume grows Assign tasks, monitor quality, and handle escalations Build a small, agile field service team **Reporting & Profitability** Track revenue, costs, and profit margins for each project Provide weekly performance reports to leadership Ensure the department covers its own costs + generates profit share **Requirements** Essential: * Proven experience in networking, CCTV, automation, server/VPS environments * Ability to run ads and manage a sales pipeline (or learn quickly with marketing support) * Fluent in English (written & spoken) – client communication is key * Self-starter: You can design processes, not just follow them * Willing to work on freelance/contract basis initially (your own visa status) **Preferred:** * Previous experience hiring/managing junior technicians * Knowledge of local market rates for service labor (UAE market) * Existing portfolio or case studies from past IT service work **Compensation & Visa** Base monthly: AED 3,000 – 6,000 (based on your experience & location) **Commission / Profit Share:** 10–15% of net profit generated by your service department after all costs (including your base salary, technician wages, materials, ads, etc.) **Paid quarterly or per project – structure to be agreed upon before hiring** Visa: **During probation (3–6 months): You work on your own visa / freelance permit** After proven performance (consistent profitability + clean operations): We sponsor your company visa and transition you to full-time employee status if you wish **What Success Looks Like in 6 Months** * The service division runs with minimal input from you (the owner) * At least 3 recurring client accounts (maintenance or support contracts) * Positive net profit each month after paying all costs + your commission * One junior technician hired and managed by you Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dubai
