Joinery & Carpentry Technical Engineer

**Role Summary:** The Joinery & Carpentry Technical Engineer is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and developing detailed shop drawings and technical solutions for all joinery and carpentry works. The role ensures accurate execution of woodwork elements such as kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, doors, paneling, and vanity units, while maintaining compliance with design intent, specifications, and project requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** **1. Shop Drawings & Technical Coordination** * Review and coordinate shop drawings for all joinery and carpentry works. * Ensure drawings are aligned with design intent, project specifications, and site conditions. * Identify and resolve discrepancies in drawings in coordination with the design and site teams. **2. Technical Development** * Develop detailed joinery solutions for: * Kitchen cabinets * Wardrobes * Doors and frames * Fixed paneling * Vanity counters and custom woodwork * Prepare detailed sections, elevations, and material specifications. **3. Coordination & Communication** * Coordinate with design, production, and site teams to explain drawings, specifications, and installation methods. * Liaise with joinery workshops and production teams to ensure clarity on execution requirements. * Provide technical support during fabrication and installation stages. **4. Submittals & Approvals** * Prepare and submit: * Method Statements * Material Submittals * Shop Drawings and Samples * Ensure timely approvals from consultants and clients. * Address comments and revise submissions as required. **5. Documentation & Control** * Maintain proper documentation for drawings, revisions, approvals, and records. * Ensure version control and proper filing of all technical documents. * Track and update drawing logs and submittal status. **6. Quality & Execution Support** * Ensure all joinery works meet quality standards and project specifications. * Support site team during installation and resolve technical issues. * Conduct inspections if required to ensure compliance. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field. * Minimum 8 years of experience in joinery, carpentry, or interior fit-out projects. * Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and joinery manufacturing processes. * Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of 3D software is an advantage. * Good understanding of site execution and installation techniques. * Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
