Joinery Draftsman / Joinery Detailer

Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Joinery Draftsman** to join our interior fit-out and joinery production team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed shop drawings, production drawings, and technical drawings for custom joinery, furniture, cabinetry, wall cladding, doors, wardrobes, counters, vanities, and interior fit-out works. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of joinery construction details, materials, hardware, finishes, site measurements, and factory production requirements. Key Responsibilities * Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings based on design drawings, BOQ, site measurements, and client requirements. * Prepare production drawings for cabinets, wardrobes, counters, vanities, wall panels, doors, kitchens, furniture, and other custom joinery items. * Prepare plans, elevations, sections, fixing details, material details, and hardware details. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, designers, estimation team, production team, and clients/consultants. * Take site measurements when required and update drawings accordingly. * Prepare drawings for approval and revise drawings as per consultant/client comments. * Ensure drawings are clear, accurate, and suitable for factory production. * Coordinate with cutlist makers and production supervisors to avoid mistakes during manufacturing. * Review architectural and interior drawings and highlight missing details or technical issues. * Maintain proper drawing records, revisions, and approved drawing logs. * Ensure drawings follow project specifications, approved materials, finishes, and company standards. Requirements * Minimum **3 to 5 years of experience** as a Joinery Draftsman in an interior fit-out or joinery company. * Strong knowledge of joinery detailing, cabinetry, furniture, wall cladding, counters, doors, wardrobes, and custom furniture. * Excellent knowledge of **AutoCAD** is mandatory. * Knowledge of SketchUp, 3D software, Cabinet Vision, or similar software will be an advantage. * Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, interior design drawings, BOQ, and specifications. * Good understanding of materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, solid wood, acrylic, glass, metal, and solid surface. * Knowledge of hardware, hinges, drawer channels, locks, handles, sliding systems, and accessories. * Must be detail-oriented and able to work under pressure. * Good communication and coordination skills. * UAE interior fit-out/joinery experience preferred. Preferred Skills * Ability to prepare detailed production-friendly drawings. * Knowledge of cutlist preparation and BOM coordination. * Experience with site measurements and as-built drawings. * Knowledge of CNC, edge banding, drilling, and joinery production workflow. * Ability to identify design and technical issues before production.
