**The role**
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Instrument Engineer to join our UAE Business Unit.

This Project aims to take over the existing asset and maximize the production in 2 phases. This is a fast-track project and schedule-oriented Design to enhance the production.
The Phase 1 will restore, upgrade, and develop the current plant (CPF1) including: Restoration of initial CPF1 capacity; building a new export pipeline (24”, ~30km); restoration of CPF1 integrity and operability; flaring elimination and released water; development of new flowlines, pads, and electrification network for approximately 30 new wells; debottlenecking of the plant; upgrade of the Safety and Security facilities.
Our scope is to provide Engineering, Procurement services and Construction assistance (EPsCa) for the initial development phase of the field in Southern Iraq. The scope of services includes FEED, detailed design, procurement support, and construction and commissioning assistance.

**Job Purpose**
* Be very strong technically in all main topics covered within the project (main instruments, ICSS…)
* Have field experience in upstream oil and gas production facilities
* Be pro-active
* Be decision making on critical technical topics providing solutions
* Be good in communication and interpersonal skills

**Expected:**
* Degree qualification in Instrument Engineering.
* Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry.
* Minimum of 5 years proven capability in an engineering design company.
* Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of Instrument and Controls engineering design and analysis.
* Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for Instrument and Controls engineering design.
* Experience of the application of HAZOP, HAZID and SIL Rating to Instrument and Controls design.
* Experience of working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred.
* Fluent in both spoken and written English language.
