Lead PAUT

Job Summary The Lead PAUT Technician is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) techniques on piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, structural components, and welded joints. The role includes leading inspection teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards, and delivering accurate inspection reports. Key Responsibilities * Perform and supervise PAUT inspections on welds, piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, and structural components. * Lead a team of PAUT and NDT technicians during project execution. * Develop and review PAUT scan plans, inspection procedures, and techniques. * Interpret and evaluate inspection data in accordance with applicable codes and standards. * Prepare inspection reports, data sheets, and technical documentation. * Ensure all inspections are conducted in compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and applicable industry standards. * Coordinate with clients, project engineers, QA/QC personnel, and site representatives. * Verify calibration and proper functioning of PAUT equipment and software. * Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to junior technicians. * Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices. * Participate in project planning, manpower allocation, and resource management. * Support audits, client meetings, and technical reviews when required. Qualifications * Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical discipline. * Valid PCN, ASNT, or equivalent certification in PAUT (Level II/III). * Additional certifications in UT, TOFD, MT, PT, VT, or RT are preferred. * Certification in accordance with client requirements (e.g., ADNOC, Aramco, or major oil & gas operators) is an advantage. Experience * Minimum 5-8 years of NDT experience in the oil and gas industry. * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in PAUT inspection and team leadership. * Experience with refinery, petrochemical, power plant, and offshore projects. * Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, AWS, and ISO. Skills & Competencies * Strong knowledge of PAUT principles, data analysis, and defect characterization. * Proficiency in using PAUT equipment and analysis software. * Leadership and team management skills. * Excellent report writing and communication skills. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, welding procedures, and inspection requirements. * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. Preferred Certifications * PCN/ASNT PAUT Level II or III * TOFD Level II * UT Level II * API 510, API 570, or API 653 (preferred) * H2S, BOSIET, HUET, and offshore certifications (for offshore projects) Pay: AED4,500.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
