Mechanical BIM Modeler

A Mechanical BIM Modeler in the construction industry creates and maintains intelligent 3D models of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. They transform 2D design layouts into detailed 3D representations, providing essential coordination, fabrication, and installation data to construction teams to prevent onsite conflicts. **Core Job Roles & Responsibilities:** * **3D Model Development:** Create detailed 3D models of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and piping systems using Autodesk Revit MEP. * **Clash Detection & Coordination:** Utilize Autodesk Navisworks to detect and resolve design conflicts between mechanical systems and architectural/structural elements. * **Drawings & Documentation:** Generate 2D shop drawings, fabrication details, installation details, and material schedules (BOQ - Bill of Quantities) directly from the model. * **Model Accuracy & LOD Management:** Maintain models according to required Level of Development (LOD 300–500) standards, ensuring accuracy for construction and fabrication. * **Collaboration:** Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and integrate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, and structural teams. * **Data Management:** Manage model changes and updates based on RFI (Request for Information), engineer feedback, and site changes in Common Data Environments (CDE) such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). * **Family Creation:** Develop parametric Revit families and components to represent specific mechanical equipment. **Key Skills & Qualifications:** * **Software Proficiency:** Expert knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD. * **Engineering Knowledge:** Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, HVAC systems, and plumbing codes. * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. * **Experience:** Typically requires 3+ years of experience in BIM modeling, preferably in the construction or contracting sector. * **Problem-Solving:** Strong attention to detail and ability to identify, analyze, and resolve design clashes early. **Requirements** * Proven experience in Civil & MEP works * Candidates must be currently available in Abu Dhabi * Immediate joining is mandatory How to Apply Interested candidates are requested to send their CV along with the following details: * Full Name * Nationality * Age * UAE experience in Civil / MEP companies * Position applied for * Contact Number * Email ID * UAE experience in the applied position * Experience in current company (years) * Equivalency Certificate (Yes / No) * MOFA Attested Degree Certificate (Yes / No) * Current Location * Visa Status * Notice Period * Current Salary * Expected Salary **Submit Your Application** * [email protected] * [email protected] * WhatsApp: +971 52 506 0851 (WhatsApp only) Job Type: Full-time Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
