Mechanical Engineer

**JOB TITLE: Mechanical Engineer** LOCATION: Dubai, United Arab Emirates DEPARTMENT: Engineering / Projects REPORTS TO: Project Manager / Engineering Manager EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-Time **JOB SUMMARY** The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, coordination, supervision, and execution of mechanical works related to HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Firefighting, and other mechanical systems in accordance with project specifications, UAE regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves site supervision, technical coordination, project documentation, and ensuring timely project completion. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, BOQs, and contract documents. * Assist in the design and supervision of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Water Supply, and Firefighting systems. * Coordinate with Civil, Architectural, Electrical, and MEP teams to ensure smooth project execution. * Prepare shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical documentation. * Monitor site activities and ensure works are executed according to approved drawings and project specifications. * Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements and UAE standards. * Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients regarding mechanical works. * Assist in reviewing material specifications and technical submissions. * Support project scheduling and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. * Identify and assist in resolving technical issues during project execution. * Ensure compliance with UAE authority regulations, safety standards, and company policies. * Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, and project documentation. * Participate in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems. * Support procurement activities by reviewing material requirements and supplier proposals. **QUALIFICATIONS** * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * UAE Society of Engineers registration is an advantage. * Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. **EXPERIENCE** * Fresh graduates or candidates with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience are welcome to apply. * Experience in construction, MEP, building services, HVAC, plumbing, or firefighting systems will be an advantage. * Knowledge of UAE construction practices and regulations is preferred but not mandatory. **TECHNICAL SKILLS** * Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office. * Understanding of HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Firefighting systems. * Knowledge of engineering principles and technical standards. * Willingness to learn UAE authority requirements and project procedures. **SOFT SKILLS** * **Strong communication and interpersonal skills.** * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Problem-solving and analytical thinking. * Good organizational and time management skills. * Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
