Mechanical Engineer

**Job Summary** A Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves applying engineering principles to solve technical problems, improve processes, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and develop mechanical components and systems. * Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications. * Conduct calculations, simulations, and technical analysis. * Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of equipment. * Perform maintenance planning and troubleshooting. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. * Coordinate with project managers, technicians, and other engineers. * Review contractor work and ensure quality control. * Prepare technical reports, documentation, and progress updates. * Optimize system performance and reduce operational costs. **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. * Proven experience in mechanical systems design or maintenance. * Knowledge of engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). * Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and materials. * Familiarity with industry codes and standards. **Skills & Competencies** * Problem-solving and analytical thinking * Project management skills * Communication and teamwork * Attention to detail * Time management **Working Conditions** * Office and site-based work * May involve travel to project sites * Exposure to industrial environments Job Type: Contract Contract length: 24 months Work Location: In person
