MECHANICAL ESTIMATION ENGINEER

A mechanical estimator evaluates the total cost of a project in various industries. As a mechanical estimator, your responsibilities include researching the materials, sourcing options, labor, and permit costs for a given project. You also work with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to get appropriate estimates. **Mechanical Estimator Responsibilities & Duties** * Analyze project plans and specifications to create detailed cost estimates. * Collaborate with engineers and project managers to determine the scope of work. * Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics. * Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate cost estimates. * Evaluate and select suitable materials and equipment for projects. * Prepare and submit bid proposals for mechanical projects. * Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies. * Track and manage project budgets and expenditures. * Communicate with suppliers and contractors to obtain pricing information. * Assist in contract negotiations and finalizing project scope. * Monitor and report on project progress and any deviations from the plan. * Provide support during project implementation to ensure estimated costs are adhered to.
