ob Description – MEP Construction Manager (Mechanical Background) **Job Title:** MEP Construction Manager (Mechanical) **Department:** Projects / Construction **Reports To:** Project Director / General Manager Job Summary The MEP Construction Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all mechanical aspects of MEP works throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures that HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and quality standards. The MEP Construction Manager works closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project execution. Key Responsibilities * Plan, manage, and supervise all mechanical MEP construction activities from mobilization through project handover. * Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, civil, architectural, and structural disciplines to avoid clashes and ensure smooth project execution. * Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation. * Develop and monitor project schedules, manpower allocation, equipment utilization, and material procurement. * Ensure all mechanical works comply with contract specifications, project requirements, local authority regulations, and international standards. * Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project milestones. * Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical and construction-related issues. * Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality, productivity, and compliance with approved drawings. * Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies on site. * Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and identify opportunities for value engineering and cost optimization. * Lead mechanical testing, commissioning, inspections, and final handover activities. * Prepare progress reports, technical reports, and presentations for project management and clients. * Participate in project meetings and provide technical leadership to project teams. * Mentor and supervise project engineers, site engineers, supervisors, and foremen. * Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost impacts. * Ensure timely resolution of site issues. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. * Professional Engineering certification is an advantage. * PMP certification is preferred. * Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage. Experience * Minimum **10–15 years** of experience in MEP construction, with at least **10 years in a Construction Manager or similar leadership role**. * Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects. * Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, chilled water, and mechanical building services. * Experience working in the UAE construction industry is highly preferred. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and MEP coordination. * Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. * Experience with Primavera P6 and MS Project. * Familiarity with BIM/Revit coordination is an advantage. * Thorough understanding of UAE building codes, authority requirements, and international standards. * Strong contract administration and project planning knowledge.
