MEP Cost Control Engineer

An MEP Cost Control Engineer manages budgetary, material, and manpower allocations for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects, aiming to minimize cost overruns. **Key Responsibilities** * **Budgeting & Forecasting:** Preparing cost estimates, cash flow projections, and monitoring budget compliance. * **Contract Administration:** Evaluating contractor interim payments, final accounts, and managing variations. * **Procurement Support:** Coordinating with procurement to ensure cost-effective MEP execution and sourcing. * **Analysis:** Identifying cost-saving opportunities and recommending alternative materials/methods. * **Reporting:** Preparing commercial reports on project expenditures and potential variances. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying. * **Experience:** 5–15 years in MEP cost control within the UAE construction sector. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP software, and AutoCAD. * **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and valuation of variations.
