**Job description** Position Title: MEP Draftsman Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates Industry: Construction / Fit-Out / MEP Contracting Employment Type: Full-Time **Job Description:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draughtsman to join our construction and interior fit-out team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in preparing accurate MEP shop drawings (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), coordination drawings, and as-built documentation in accordance with local regulations and project specifications. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare detailed MEP shop drawings using AutoCAD or Revit for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems. * Review design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM), DEWA, Civil Defense, and other relevant authority standards. * Coordinate with architectural, structural, and interior design teams to avoid clashes and ensure smooth execution on site. * Produce accurate as-built drawings based on site conditions and redline markups. * Assist in drawing submissions for authority approvals and ensure compliance with project timelines. * Maintain organized drawing records and revisions throughout the project lifecycle. * Provide support to site engineers and project managers for technical drawing clarification **Qualifications and Skills:** * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification. * Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience as an MEP Draughtsman, preferably in fit-out or contracting companies. * Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP, Navisworks, and BIM workflow is a strong advantage. * Sound knowledge of MEP systems and local authority requirements (DM, DEWA, Etisalat, DCD, etc.). * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
