MEP Draftsman

We are hiring an MEP draftsman to support the preparation, coordination, and delivery of high-quality MEP drawings across all project stages. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings, coordinated shop drawings, and as-built documentation for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, UAE regulations, and industry standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare and develop detailed MEP shop drawings, coordinated construction drawings, and as-built drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems. * Produce layouts, sections, schematics, riser diagrams, installation details, and builders’ work drawings in accordance with project specifications and design requirements. * Translate consultant drawings, design markups, and engineering inputs into accurate technical documentation for execution. * Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural, and multidisciplinary drawings to ensure clash-free and integrated documentation. * Support MEP coordination and clash detection using BIM workflows and assist in resolving technical conflicts before construction. * Prepare combined services drawings and coordinated ceiling layouts where required. * Revise drawings based on consultant comments, site conditions, RFIs, and project changes. * Assist in preparing authority submission drawings and documentation in line with Abu Dhabi Municipality (ADM), Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT), Civil Defense, ADDC/AADC (where applicable), and other regulatory requirements. * Support preparation and review of technical submittals, builders’ work coordination drawings, and shop drawing submissions for consultant approval. * Conduct site visits, verify dimensions, update redline markups, and prepare accurate as-built documentation. * Maintain drawing registers, revision control, and compliance with company CAD/BIM standards and project documentation procedures. * Ensure drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, constructability requirements, and approved design intent. **Qualifications & Requirements:** * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline. * Minimum 5 years of experience as an MEP Draftsman, preferably within the UAE. * Proven experience preparing MEP shop drawings and coordinated construction documentation. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, drainage, electrical, and firefighting systems. * Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. * Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and BIM coordination is highly preferred. * Familiarity with UAE authority regulations, submission requirements, and relevant codes and standards. * Strong understanding of MEP coordination, construction detailing, and installation practices. * High attention to detail, technical accuracy, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively with engineers, consultants, and site teams.
