MEP Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MEP Draftsman to join our construction team in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, revising, and coordinating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) drawings in accordance with project requirements, consultant specifications, and local authority regulations. The role requires strong technical drafting skills and the ability to work closely with engineers, project teams, and site personnel. Key Responsibilities * Prepare MEP shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD and other relevant software. * Develop detailed HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and ELV drawings based on approved designs. * Coordinate MEP services with architectural, structural, and civil drawings to identify and resolve clashes. * Prepare builder's work drawings and coordinated service layouts. * Revise drawings as per consultant comments, site requirements, and project changes. * Assist engineers in preparing technical submissions and drawing packages. * Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, UAE authority requirements, and industry standards. * Prepare and maintain drawing registers and document control records. * Coordinate with site engineers and project teams to ensure accurate implementation of drawings. * Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings when required. * Prepare as-built drawings based on site modifications and completed works. * Attend coordination meetings and provide drafting support throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements * Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting Technology, or a related field. * Minimum 1–3 years of UAE experience as an MEP Draftsman within a construction or MEP contracting company. * Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. * Experience preparing HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, Electrical, and ELV drawings. * Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction methodologies. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOQs. * Familiarity with UAE construction standards and authority requirements. * Good communication and coordination skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
