ob Description – MEP Design Engineer (Consultant) **Position Title:** MEP Design Engineer **Industry:** Engineering Consultancy / Construction Consultancy **Experience Required:** 5–7 Years About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled **MEP Design Engineer** with 5–7 years of experience in engineering consultancy and building design projects within the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, and review of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for various projects, ensuring full compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and international standards. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and develop MEP design drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports. * Design and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire fighting, electrical power, lighting, ELV, and related building services systems. * Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, local authority regulations, and international standards. * Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other disciplines throughout the design process. * Prepare authority submission packages and obtain approvals from relevant authorities. * Conduct site visits and provide technical support during construction stages. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals. * Participate in design coordination meetings and client presentations. * Identify design conflicts and propose practical engineering solutions. * Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget requirements. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. * 5–7 years of experience in MEP design consultancy within the UAE. * Strong knowledge of: * Abu Dhabi and Dubai Building Codes * ADDC / AADC Requirements * DEWA Regulations * Civil Defence Requirements (Abu Dhabi & Dubai) * Municipality Regulations * Estidama and sustainability requirements * ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, BS, and other international standards * Proficiency in: * AutoCAD * Revit MEP * BIM Coordination * HAP or equivalent HVAC design software * Electrical and plumbing design software * Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and coordination abilities. * UAE driving license is preferred.
