MEP Mechanical Foreman

The MEP Mechanical Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all mechanical installation activities on construction sites, ensuring that HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, and other mechanical systems are installed according to approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves managing site manpower, monitoring work progress, and ensuring timely project completion. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities at project sites. * Lead and manage mechanical technicians, plumbers, pipe fitters, duct installers, welders, and other site personnel. * Ensure all HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, and related mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications. * Allocate daily work assignments and monitor workforce productivity. * Review mechanical drawings, layouts, and installation details before execution. * Coordinate with electrical, civil, and other trades to avoid work conflicts and ensure smooth project progress. * Monitor material usage and coordinate with the store and procurement departments for timely material availability. * Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship meets quality standards. * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and site safety regulations. * Identify and resolve installation issues and technical challenges on-site. * Prepare daily progress reports and update engineers on project status. * Assist in testing, balancing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems. * Ensure project activities are completed within approved timelines. Qualifications * Diploma, ITI, Trade Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * Additional certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, or Fire Fighting systems are an advantage. Experience * Minimum 5–8 years of experience in MEP mechanical installation works. * At least 2–3 years of experience in a Foreman or supervisory role. * Experience in commercial, residential, high-rise, industrial, or infrastructure projects. * UAE/GCC experience preferred. Skills & Competencies * Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ducting, chilled water piping, plumbing, drainage, and fire fighting systems. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and installation plans. * Strong leadership and manpower management skills. * Good understanding of construction methodologies and site coordination. * Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
