MEP Planning Engineer

**Job Title:** MEP Planning Engineer **Location:** Abu Dhabi, UAE **Industry:** Construction / MEP Contracting **Job Type:** Full-time Alborkan Global General Contracting L.L.C. is seeking an experienced MEP Planning Engineer to join our project team in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, resource planning, and reporting for MEP construction projects, ensuring that project milestones and completion targets are achieved efficiently. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project. * Prepare baseline programs, target schedules, and recovery plans. * Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules. * Prepare weekly, monthly, and management progress reports. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement teams, and site personnel regarding project planning activities. * Identify potential delays and propose corrective actions and mitigation measures. * Prepare look-ahead schedules and resource-loaded programs. * Track project milestones, critical paths, and project deliverables. * Monitor manpower, material, and equipment utilization against project requirements. * Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required. * Attend project meetings and provide planning updates to management and clients. * Maintain planning records, project dashboards, and progress documentation. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline. * Minimum 5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in MEP construction projects. * Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting. * Ability to analyze project performance and identify schedule risks. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management tools. * Strong communication, analytical, and coordination skills. Preferred Qualifications * UAE construction experience is preferred. * Experience in commercial, industrial, residential, or infrastructure MEP projects. * Knowledge of project controls, earned value analysis, and delay analysis techniques. * Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
