MEP Quantity Surveyor

The MEP Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing the commercial, contractual, and cost aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works throughout a construction project lifecycle. This includes estimation, quantity take-offs, cost control, tendering, variations, billing, and final accounts. Key Responsibilities * Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates for MEP works. * Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements. * Prepare and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. * Monitor project costs, budgets, and cash flow to ensure financial control. * Prepare variation orders (VOs), claims, and final accounts. * Manage interim payment applications and certify subcontractor payments. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and clients on commercial matters. * Maintain records of contracts, variations, cost reports, and project documentation. * Support procurement activities and negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors. * Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project specifications. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field. * 5+ years of experience in MEP Quantity Surveying. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems. * Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, CostX, or other QS software. * Knowledge of contracts, procurement, cost control, and tendering procedures. * Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
