**Job Title:** Operational Manager **Job Summary:** An operations manager oversees the day-to-day activities of a business, ensuring workflows run efficiently, resources are allocated properly, and team output aligns with organizational goals. They serve as the bridge between upper management and staff, optimizing processes to maximize profitability and productivity. [1, 2] **Key Responsibilities:** **Operational Management:** * Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. * Monitor sales and budgetary performance; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports. * Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations. **Sales & Customer Service:** * Drive sales to meet or exceed store targets. * Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through excellent service. * Handle customer complaints and queries professionally and effectively. **Staff Management:** * Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate store employees. * Schedule shifts and delegate tasks to ensure coverage and productivity. * Motivate and develop staff to meet performance standards and growth objectives. **Merchandising & Inventory:** * Maintain store presentation standards including visual merchandising and cleanliness. * Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and loss prevention. * Coordinate with suppliers and distribution centers for stock orders and deliveries. **Marketing & Promotion:** * Implement in-store promotions and marketing strategies to drive foot traffic and sales. * Collaborate with the marketing team for seasonal campaigns and product launches. **Required Skills & Qualifications:** * Proven experience as a store manager or in a similar retail management role. * Strong leadership and team management skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Good understanding of retail KPIs and business metrics. * Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. * Proficient in retail management software (e.g., POS systems, inventory software). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field. * Experience in fashion or apparel retail is highly desirable. * Knowledge of current fashion trends and customer preferences.
