Outfit-Based Architect (Experienced)

We are looking for an Outfit Based Architect responsible for the design, coordination, and oversight of specific sections of large construction projects (“outfits”), ensuring compliance with technical, aesthetic, and regulatory standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. **Key Responsibilities** * **Project Design Coordination:** Develop conceptual and detailed architectural designs for specific building sections or “outfits” within large projects, ensuring alignment with overall master plans and aesthetic guidelines. * **Technical Documentation:** Prepare detailed drawings, architectural plans, and specifications for construction, including layouts, elevations, and sections, using CAD or BIM software. * **Collaboration with Engineers and Consultants:** Work closely with structural, MEP, and civil engineers to integrate all aspects of the project into cohesive design solutions. * **Site Oversight:** Monitor and review construction progress of assigned outfits, ensuring adherence to approved designs, quality standards, and safety regulations. * **Compliance and Approvals:** Ensure that designs meet local building codes, regulatory requirements, and sustainability standards. * **Client Coordination:** Present designs, provide updates, and implement client feedback, ensuring expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle. * **Problem Solving:** Address design or construction discrepancies and propose practical solutions during construction. **Required Skills and Qualifications** * **Educational Background:** Bachelor’s in Architecture or a related field. * **Experience:** Proven experience in architectural design, preferably in large-scale projects or with segment-focused responsibilities. * **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), BIM tools, 3D modeling, and visual presentation software. * **Knowledge of Standards:** Understanding of local building regulations, construction materials, and project management workflows. * **Soft Skills:** Strong communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and ability to work under deadlines. **Performance Metrics** * Timely delivery of accurate design packages. * Effective coordination with engineering and consultancy teams. * Compliance with project budgets, timelines, and design quality. * Client satisfaction and responsiveness to feedback. **Software Knowledge** * Expert Proficiency: AutoCAD (2D & 3D). * Strong Knowledge: Revit (BIM modeling and coordination). * Advantageous: SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop (for client presentations), and MS Office. **Technical Knowledge** * Deep understanding of UAE Building Codes and Life Safety standards. * Ability to read and interpret complex architectural, structural and MEP layouts. * Knowledge of construction and finishing materials. **Personal Attributes** * Attention to Detail: Precision is critical to avoid costly site errors or authority rejections. * Communication: Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus) with the ability to coordinate effectively with site engineers and project managers. * Time Management: Ability to meet tight deadlines for slab pours and weekly site progress reports. **Salary & Benefits:** * Monthly Salary: (commensurate with experience and technical test results). * Benefits: Employment visa, health insurance, and 30 days annual leave as per UAE Labor Law.
