Piping Engineer

Employment Type Full-time Department Engineering / Projects Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Piping Engineer to design, develop, and oversee piping systems for industrial projects. The candidate will be responsible for piping layout, material selection, stress analysis coordination, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and industry codes. Key Responsibilities * Develop piping layouts, routing, and detailed engineering drawings. * Prepare piping material specifications, valve specifications, and line lists. * Review P&IDs, GA drawings, isometrics, and vendor documents. * Coordinate with process, mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation teams. * Perform piping design calculations and support stress analysis activities. * Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, API, and other applicable codes and standards. * Participate in model reviews, HAZOP studies, and design reviews. * Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations. * Provide engineering support during fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning. * Resolve technical queries and site-related engineering issues. * Ensure project deliverables are completed within schedule and budget. RequirementsEducation * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Experience * 3–10 years of experience in piping engineering/design. * Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power plant, water treatment, or industrial projects preferred. Technical Skills * Knowledge of piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, ASTM, etc.). * Familiarity with piping materials and specifications. * Experience with: * AutoCAD * Plant 3D * PDMS * E3D * CAESAR II * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and P&IDs. Soft Skills * Strong communication and coordination skills. * Problem-solving and analytical ability. * Team-oriented with good organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications * GCC/Middle East project experience. * Knowledge of international engineering standards. * Experience in EPC projects is an advantage.
