Planning Engineer

**Job Title:** Planning Engineer – High-Rise Buildings (UAE Experience) **Location:** Dubai **Job Type:** Full-time **Industry:** Construction / Contracting **Reports To:** Project Manager **Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly experienced Planning Engineer with a proven track record in **high-rise building projects** within the UAE construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a **strong contracting background**, with hands-on experience in project scheduling, progress monitoring, delay analysis, and resource planning. The role demands in-depth knowledge of local construction practices, regulatory requirements, and software tools like **Primavera P6** and **MS Project**. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and maintain detailed project schedules for high-rise construction projects using **Primavera P6**. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely progress. * Monitor project progress and prepare **weekly/monthly reports**, including dashboards and lookahead programs. * Identify and analyze project risks, delays, and critical paths; propose mitigation strategies. * Perform **EOT (Extension of Time)** analysis and support in claims preparation and submission. * Track and update **actual site progress** against the baseline program. * Ensure alignment of project timelines with procurement, resource, and financial planning. * Conduct regular **site visits** to verify actual progress and provide accurate planning updates. * Participate in internal and external progress review meetings. * Liaise with authorities, consultants, and clients to ensure compliance with UAE standards and project specifications. * Manage planning input during tender stages, including program development and resource loading. * Assist in project close-out and as-built schedule preparation. **Requirements:** * **Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.** * Minimum 4**–6 years of UAE experience** in planning roles within **contracting companies**, focusing on **high-rise residential/commercial towers**. * Proficiency in **Primavera P6**, MS Project, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). * Strong knowledge of UAE construction methodologies, regulations, and authority approvals.
