Planning Engineer - Fit out

We are seeking an experienced Fit-Out Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules for interior fit-out projects. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, progress tracking, resource planning, reporting, and coordination with project teams to ensure timely project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Develop detailed project schedules and work programs for interior fit-out projects. * Prepare baseline schedules, manpower histograms, procurement schedules, and cash flow forecasts. * Monitor project progress and update schedules on a regular basis. * Analyze project delays, identify critical activities, and recommend corrective actions. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, subcontractors, and clients. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations. * Track procurement and material delivery schedules to ensure alignment with project timelines. * Conduct critical path analysis and schedule risk assessments. * Monitor productivity and resource utilization across projects. * Support tender planning and preparation of preliminary project schedules during bidding stages. * Maintain project documentation related to planning and scheduling. * Assist in extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis when required. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. * Minimum **5–7 years of GCC experience** in planning and scheduling of interior fit-out projects. * Experience in commercial, hospitality, retail, F&B, residential, and corporate office fit-out projects. * Strong understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project controls. Technical Skills * Proficient in: * Primavera P6 * Microsoft Project * Microsoft Excel (Advanced) * AutoCAD (preferred) * Power BI (preferred) * Knowledge of project control processes, resource planning, and earned value management. * Ability to interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and fit-out drawings. Preferred Experience * Experience working with leading fit-out contractors in the UAE/GCC. * Familiarity with authority approvals and local construction regulations. * Experience handling projects ranging from offices, retail outlets, restaurants, hotels, and luxury interiors. * Knowledge of delay analysis and claims management is an advantage.
