You will be responsible for maintaining structural design integrity while guiding a multidisciplinary team to deliver projects successfully across their lifecycle. This role requires proven experience in the Middle East and a strong background in Project Management Consultancy (PMC) environments. **What You Will Do** * Supervise civil/structural engineers. * Ensure the integrity of civil/structural design within the defined scope and maintain applicable standards. * Identify and implement civil/structural software required for the effective functioning of the civil/structural team. * Manage civil/structural engineering design and any design changes within budget and schedule. * Provide technical supervision to assigned civil/structural designers and draftsmen in the execution of their responsibilities. * Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance requirements and relevant guidelines applicable to the business unit. * Promote safe working practices and ensure adherence to OH&S procedures. * Monitor and achieve cost and budget KPIs for design activities * Ensure the level of design is appropriate to the complexity of construction, maintaining a balance between design cost and implementation cost. * Ensure feedback from supervisors or superintendents confirms that constructability requirements are adequately addressed and that work packs contain sufficient and relevant detail. * Allocate design and drafting tasks to team members, ensuring work is carried out within competency levels and with appropriate supervision. * Act as Design Master Controller (DMC), managing civil/structural design documentation and drawings for the assigned asset in accordance with Worley procedures. * Conduct site investigations and prepare reports. **What You Will Bring** **Experience & Capability** * Extensive experience in civil and civil/structural engineering within oil & gas, refinery, or petrochemical projects. * Demonstrated experience working in the Middle East project environment. * Strong background in PMC roles, including managing client-side expectations and multi-contractor interfaces. * Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver complex projects. * Strong understanding of design, drafting, and engineering processes across 2D and 3D environments. * Experience managing design budgets, schedules, and performance metrics. * Hands-on experience with industry-standard civil/structural engineering and design software. **Qualifications** * Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university. * Atleast 15 years of total experience post graduate studies. * Atleast 10 years in the oil & gas / petrochemical / refinery industry. * Atleast last 5 years in a similar leadership or specialist role. * Previous experience working with a contractor or in a comparable delivery model. **Why This Role Matters** You will play a key role in delivering safe, sustainable infrastructure by leading a high-performing team and ensuring engineering excellence across all phases of the project.
