**Job Description**
**Why This Role Matters**
The Process Manager is responsible for leading the process design, coordination, and technical delivery of water, wastewater, and solid waste treatment projects. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from design development through testing and commissioning, ensuring that process solutions are safe, efficient, compliant, and aligned with project cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
The Process Manager acts as the main process lead across multidisciplinary teams, managing internal coordination, external designers, consultants, suppliers, and key technical interfaces. This role supports the Project Manager / Technical Manager in driving project performance, resolving technical challenges, and ensuring successful delivery of treatment facilities.
**What You’ll Drive**
Lead and manage the process design and technical delivery of water, wastewater, and solid waste treatment projects.
Oversee process-related activities across the full project lifecycle, including concept design, detailed design, procurement support, construction support, testing, commissioning, and performance validation.
Manage and coordinate external designers, consultants, technology providers, and suppliers to ensure technical alignment with project objectives.
Review and validate process calculations, design criteria, process flow diagrams, mass balance, equipment selection, and technical submissions.
Ensure process designs meet safety, performance, quality, budget, schedule, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
Provide accurate and timely process inputs to civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls teams to support coordinated project delivery.
Lead technical reviews, risk assessments, value engineering, and problem-solving related to process performance and project delivery.
Support procurement teams with technical evaluation of suppliers, packages, and specialist subcontractors.
Support testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance guarantee activities.
Ensure compliance with local standards, environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and industry best practices.
Act as the key process interface with clients, consultants, authorities, suppliers, and internal project teams.
**Qualifications**
**You’re a Great Fit If You Have**
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, ideally with specialization in water and/or wastewater treatment.
Strong experience in process design and delivery of water, wastewater, and/or solid waste treatment projects.
Previous experience in a Process Manager, Lead Process Engineer, Senior Process Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
Good understanding of treatment technologies, process equipment, commissioning requirements, and performance testing.
Experience managing multidisciplinary interfaces and coordinating external designers, consultants, suppliers, and specialist subcontractors.
Strong knowledge of local standards, regulations, permitting requirements, and industry best practices related to water and wastewater treatment.
Ability to review technical documents, identify risks, challenge designs, and propose practical solutions.
Strong communication, coordination, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
Experience in the GCC / regional market is preferred.
