PROCUREMENT ENGINEER CUM PURCHASER

**About the Role** We are seeking a dual-role **Procurement Engineer cum Purchaser** to manage and optimize our supply chain operations. In this role, you will combine technical engineering knowledge with commercial purchasing expertise to source high-quality materials, equipment, and services for our fire protection and safety projects. **Key Responsibilities** * **Technical Sourcing:** Review project specifications, engineering drawings, and bills of quantities (BOQ) to accurately source fire alarm, firefighting, and safety systems/equipment. * **Vendor Management:** Identify, evaluate, and onboard local and international suppliers. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors. * **Negotiation & Purchasing:** Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. * **PO Management:** Issue Purchase Orders (POs), track shipments, and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. * **Compliance & Quality:** Ensure all procured materials comply with civil defense regulations, project specifications, and UAE standards. * **Coordination:** Work closely with the Estimation, Design, and Project Engineering teams to align material procurement with project timelines. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline. * **Experience:** Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, specifically within the **Fire Protection, MEP, or Construction industry** in the UAE. * **Skills:** Strong negotiation, material sourcing, and vendor evaluation skills. * **Knowledge:** Familiarity with UAE market suppliers, logistics, and customs procedures for imported goods. * **Attributes:** Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet tight project deadlines. Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month Experience: * FIRE FIGHTING: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: * UAE DRIVING LICENSE (Preferred) Work Location: In person
