Procurement Officer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer with at least 5 years of proven experience in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, and managing materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for construction projects while ensuring cost efficiency, quality standards, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities * Manage the procurement process for construction materials, equipment, and services. * Identify, evaluate, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. * Obtain and analyze quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to achieve the best value. * Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites. * Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project teams to avoid shortages or delays. * Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and cost-saving opportunities. * Review supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations. * Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to align procurement activities with project requirements. * Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. * Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and documentation for management review. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum **5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry**. * Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and procurement practices. * Experience in contract negotiation and supplier management. * Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. * Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines. * Knowledge of local and international sourcing procedures is an advantage.
