Procurement Officer cum Driver

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive **Procurement Officer cum Driver** to support our daily operations and project requirements. This dual-role position combines procurement, logistics, and transportation responsibilities to ensure the smooth and efficient execution of company activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, coordinating with suppliers, maintaining procurement records, and providing safe and timely transportation of materials, equipment, and company personnel. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Responsibilities * Source and procure materials, tools, equipment, and supplies at competitive prices while maintaining quality standards. * Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and vendors. * Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. * Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and purchase documentation. * Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control and material planning. * Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, supervisors, and operations teams regarding material requirements and delivery schedules. * Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent service and supply availability. * Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and alternative sourcing options. Driving & Logistics Responsibilities * Safely transport materials, equipment, and company personnel as required. * Handle deliveries, collections, supplier visits, site visits, and company-related errands. * Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel and travel costs. * Load and unload materials when necessary and ensure safe transportation practices. * Maintain the company vehicle in clean and roadworthy condition, including routine inspections and servicing. * Ensure compliance with UAE traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies. * Report any vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or incidents promptly. Requirements * Valid UAE Driving License with a clean driving record. * Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, logistics, or a similar role. * Good knowledge of material sourcing, supplier coordination, and purchasing processes. * Basic understanding of inventory management and record-keeping practices. * Ability to manage procurement and transportation responsibilities efficiently. * Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills. * Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively. * Reliable, punctual, and professional in carrying out daily responsibilities. * UAE experience is preferred. Preferred Skills * Strong negotiation and supplier management abilities. * Familiarity with maintenance, fit-out, renovation, construction, or building materials. * Good problem-solving and decision-making skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Professional attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability. * Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and procurement record management.
