**Job Description: Project Architect** **Location:** North Africa – Site Office **Position Type:** Full‑Time, Project‑Based **Experience Required:** Minimum 8 Years (GCC Experience Mandatory) **Reports To:** Project Manager **Project:** 5‑Star Hotel Development **Role Overview** The Project Architect will oversee all architectural works on site, ensuring full coordination with MEP, structural, and interior design teams. The role requires strong technical knowledge of high‑end finishes, materials, and construction details, as well as the ability to manage site teams and ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and client expectations. The Project Architect will act as the architectural focal point on site, supporting the Project Manager in delivering a high‑quality luxury hotel project. **Key Responsibilities** * Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and design intent. * Ensure all site works comply with approved drawings and project standards. * Coordinate architectural interfaces with MEP, structural, ID, and specialist subcontractors. * Review shop drawings, material submittals, mock‑ups, and method statements. * Identify design discrepancies and propose solutions to maintain design integrity. * Provide expert guidance on high‑end finishes, materials, and installation methods. * Inspect finishing works (stone, marble, joinery, metal works, ceilings, flooring, etc.) to ensure premium quality. * Approve samples, mock‑ups, and material selections in coordination with consultants and client representatives. * Ensure correct application of waterproofing, acoustic treatments, fire‑rated assemblies, and other technical requirements. * Supervise architectural works on site and ensure proper sequencing with other trades. * Lead daily coordination with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors. * Monitor progress of architectural and finishing works and report delays or issues. * Support the Project Manager in resolving site conflicts and technical challenges. * Ensure compliance with safety standards and site procedures. * Coordinate architectural requirements with MEP teams to avoid clashes. * Review MEP openings, sleeves, and penetrations to ensure alignment with architectural layouts. * Participate in coordination meetings and ensure all trades follow the approved coordination drawings. * Prepare and submit architectural documents for client/consultant review. * Follow up on approvals for: * Shop drawings * Material submittals * Mock‑ups * Method statements * Attend site walks, inspections, and progress meetings with client representatives. * Conduct regular inspections to ensure high‑quality workmanship. * Maintain logs for drawings, submittals, RFIs, and approvals. * Prepare architectural progress reports and highlight risks or required actions. * Support testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation. **Required Qualifications & Skills** * Bachelor’s degree in **Architecture**. * Minimum **8 years of experience**, with **GCC experience in similar high‑end projects** (hotels, luxury resorts, mixed‑use, or premium residential). * Strong technical knowledge of architectural details, finishes, and materials. * Excellent coordination skills with MEP, structural, and ID teams. * Experience managing site teams and subcontractors. * Strong communication, problem‑solving, and reporting skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. **Please ensure you have reviewed the details thoroughly and apply only if you meet the specified qualifications and requirements.** Work Location: In person
