**Project Director – Fit-Out** * Full-time | Permanent * Doha, Qatar | Local Hire * Experience: 20+ years * Sector: Engineering Consultancy **About the role** We're seeking an experienced Project Director – Fit-Out to oversee the full delivery cycle of high-end interior fit-out projects. The successful candidate will be based in Doha and must currently hold a valid Qatar residency. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability to executive management and key client stakeholders. **Key responsibilities** * Lead end-to-end project delivery across high-value fit-out schemes — commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, and luxury residential * Define project governance frameworks: scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality baselines * Act as primary interface between client, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities * Manage and mentor multi-disciplinary project teams (PMs, site managers, engineers, coordinators) * Drive value engineering initiatives while maintaining design intent and client expectations * Ensure compliance with Qatar construction codes, authorities, and QCDD requirements * Report project performance through KPIs, dashboards, and executive steering committees * Oversee procurement, vendor selection, and contract administration (FIDIC / bespoke) **Requirements** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline (Master's preferred) * 20+ years of progressive project management experience — with at least 5 years in a Director / Programme Director capacity * Demonstrable fit-out project experience in Qatar or the GCC region (retail, hospitality, F&B, corporate interiors) * Strong commercial acumen — P&L awareness, contract negotiation, and cost control * Familiarity with Qatar regulatory and Ashghal / MMUP approval processes * Proficiency in project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) * PMP, MRICS, or CIOB certification is an advantage * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English (Arabic is a plus) * Currently residing in Qatar with a transferable visa / NOC Work Location: In person
