**Job Description: Project Engineer** **Company Overview** Emirates Sands Contracting LLC (ESC) is a leading contracting company based in Dubai, UAE, specializing in high-quality residential, commercial, and development projects. We pride ourselves on delivering structural excellence, strict adherence to timelines, and robust project management. **Position Summary** We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically skilled Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will act as the vital bridge between site execution, project management, and subcontractors. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring engineering compliance, managing progress schedules, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality control. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Site Execution & Progress Monitoring** Supervise daily site works to ensure construction aligns precisely with approved shop drawings, project specifications, and quality standards. Monitor project schedules (look-ahead programs) and coordinate labor, material deliveries, and plant equipment to avoid site delays. Resolve day-to-day technical hitches, site clashes, and structural queries on-site before they impact the critical path. **2. Technical Documentation & Engineering Support** Prepare, review, and track technical submittals, including Method Statements, Material Submittals, and Request for Information (RFIs). Review architectural, structural, and MEP shop drawings to identify discrepancies or buildability issues early. Accurately record daily site diaries, weekly progress reports, and monthly look-ahead schedules. **3. Subcontractor & Client Coordination** Coordinate directly with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure their progress matches the main baseline schedule. Attend progress meetings with the Consultant, Client representatives, and project stakeholders. Assist the Project Manager in preparing data for variation orders, progress billing, and quantity take-offs. **4. Quality Control & Safety** Raise Inspection Requests (IRs) for consultant approval at key construction milestones and ensure smooth closure of any snags. Enforce company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies across the entire site footprint. **Candidate Profile & Qualifications** Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent structural engineering degree). Experience: Minimum 5 years of solid, continuous experience within the UAE construction market. Background: Strictly Main Contractor background. Candidates with exclusively consultant or client-side experience will not be considered. **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in reading complex structural and architectural plans. familiarity with project management software (Primavera P6/MS Project) and AutoCAD. Solid understanding of standard UAE construction sequences (substructure, superstructure, finishing, and MEP integration). Soft Skills: Strong leadership, excellent communication in English, sharp negotiation skills for managing site labor/subcontractors, and the ability to work under tight project deadlines. **What We Offer** Salary: AED 10,000 to AED 12,000 per month (Full package, depending on experience and project track record).
