Project Engineer (Fit out projects)

**Role Summary:** The project engineer’s role will be to execute and assist with large fit-out projects independently with minimum supervision from the project manager. **Role description:** Ø Complete management of the project at site from taking possession of the unit from client to site handover. Ø Specifying project objectives and plans including delineation of scope, scheduling, setting performance requirements etc. Ø Maximizing resource efficiency (labour, materials, and equipment). Ø Implementing various operations through proper coordination and control of planning, design, estimating, contracting and construction in the entire process. Ø Maintaining accurate records as construction progress throughout the projects. Ø Responsible for overview of the construction sites, and management of vendors and trades. In addition, keep good communication between the Clients at all times. Ø Prepare weekly site plan in advance and monitor site works progress daily basis, execute and report to the project manager. Ø Prepare the site works method statement considering project safety and quality paraments. Submit and take approval from client /consultants prior to start the site works. Ø Study the project drawings and specifications and works in close coordination with MEP and other parties. Ø Project Management Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Safety Management, which includes specific activities like defining the responsibilities and management structure of the project management team, organizing, and leading by implementing project controls. **Personal qualities:** The ideal candidate for the Project Engineer role has the following skills, personal qualities and experiences: Ø Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. Ø The candidate should have a minimum of five years’ experience with reputable fit-out contracting companies in the Middle East for large scale fitout projects. Ø Successful track record of working on large scale fitout projects. e.g., Hospitality, Hotels, High End Residential, Palaces, villa’s, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, Education etc. Ø Very strong technical and execution abilities. Ø Previous experience of working with professional fit out contracting companies with their in-house workforce. Ø Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment. Ø Strong teamwork and analytical skills and able to work for multiple projects. Ø Adaptability and flexibility in how you support the team and the needs of the business.
