Project Engineer (Mechanical) – District Cooling & Chilled Water Networks

The Project Engineer (Mechanical) will be responsible for the **on-site execution, coordination, and technical delivery** of district cooling chilled water pipeline projects. This role ensures that all mechanical works are completed **safely, on time, as per approved drawings, authority requirements, and project specifications**. Key Responsibilities 1. Site Execution & Technical Control * Supervise installation of: * Chilled water supply & return pipelines * Pre-insulated steel and HDPE piping * Valve chambers, fittings, anchor blocks, thrust blocks * Flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning * Ensure works are executed as per **approved shop drawings, method statements, and ITPs**. 2. Planning & Coordination * Prepare **daily, weekly, and look-ahead work plans**. * Coordinate with **civil, electrical, and reinstatement teams**. * Arrange manpower, materials, equipment, and inspections. 3. Authority & Client Interface * Coordinate with **RTA, DEWA, Empower, Emicool, Tabreed** inspectors. * Attend inspections, close NCRs, and respond to RFIs. 4. Quality, Safety & Documentation * Ensure compliance with **HSE plans, QA/QC procedures, and project specifications**. * Prepare **WIRs, MIRs, daily reports, test packs, and as-built data**. 5. Cost & Progress Control * Track site productivity and quantities. * Support QS with measurements, progress, and variations. Required Experience * **4–8+ years** in mechanical site execution for: * District cooling networks * Chilled water underground piping * Experience with **pre-insulated piping, steel/HDPE welding, flushing & pressure testing**.
