Project Engineer (MEP)

PTWL is seeking a motivated and experienced MEP Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across multiple projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, ensuring technical compliance, and supporting successful project completion within time and budget constraints. Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Execution Support * Assist in planning, scheduling, and execution of MEP works across ongoing projects. * Support the Project Manager in coordinating all site activities from mobilization to handover. * Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. * Monitor daily site progress and report updates to senior management. 2. Site Coordination & Supervision * Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and technicians. * Ensure smooth execution of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV systems. * Resolve site-related technical issues in coordination with senior engineers and project managers. * Ensure effective coordination between MEP, civil, and other disciplines. 3. Technical Review & Engineering Support * Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, consultant requirements, and UAE standards. * Support technical problem-solving and engineering decisions during execution. * Assist in resolving design conflicts and site challenges. 4. Project Monitoring & Reporting * Track project progress and highlight delays, risks, and issues. * Assist in preparing work schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress reports. * Maintain accurate site records and documentation. * Support management with regular project updates. 5. Quality & Safety Compliance * Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with QA/QC standards. * Support implementation of HSE policies and site safety procedures. * Conduct site inspections to ensure workmanship quality and compliance. * Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams for corrective actions when required. 6. Materials & Procurement Coordination * Assist in tracking material requests, procurement status, and deliveries. * Coordinate with procurement and store teams to ensure material availability. * Support verification of materials against approved specifications. * Monitor site requirements to avoid delays due to material shortages. 7. Testing, Commissioning & Handover * Assist in testing and commissioning of MEP systems. * Support preparation of handover documentation and as-built drawings. * Coordinate final inspections and project completion activities. Qualifications & Requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. * 3–6 years of UAE experience in MEP project execution or engineering roles. * Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, and ELV systems. * Good understanding of UAE authority regulations and construction standards. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. * Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks. * Proficiency in MS Office and project coordination tools. * UAE Driving License is an advantage.
