**Posting Date:** 6 May 2026 **Requisition ID:** 3725 **Location:** HQ - Abu Dhabi **Posting Status:** Active Recruitment Job Purpose The Senior Civil and Infrastructure Engineer is a key technical authority responsible for providing advanced civil and infrastructure engineering expertise across complex and high-value projects. The role demands extensive professional experience in planning, design, review, execution, and oversight of civil works and infrastructure systems, ensuring full compliance with applicable national and international codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The Engineer will lead engineering activities related to buildings, earthworks, roads, utilities, and associated infrastructure, while exercising strong technical judgment, site oversight, and coordination capabilities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery throughout all phases of the project lifecycle. Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability * Lead and perform design reviews at concept, preliminary, detailed, and IFC stages. * Validate detailed civil and infrastructure designs, drawings, and technical specifications. * Provide technical oversight during construction to ensure adherence to approved designs, specifications, and schedules. * Monitor contractor performance and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and suppliers to ensure technical and quality requirements are met. * Identify and mitigate technical risks related to constructability, sequencing, and site conditions. * Review civil and infrastructure designs including: * Roads, highways, and interchanges * Drainage, stormwater, and flood management systems * Earthworks, grading, and pavement design * Utilities planning and coordination * Public realm and urban infrastructure * Verify compliance with applicable standards, codes, authority requirements, and contractual obligations. * Ensure full compliance of all civil and infrastructure works with applicable local authority regulations, international codes, and industry best practices. * Implement and enforce robust quality assurance and quality control procedures across all project stages. * Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and technical reviews, including verification of levels, elevations, compaction results, concrete quality, and utility installations. * Review non-conformance reports (NCRs), propose corrective actions, and ensure timely closure. Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.) * Serve as a senior technical reference for civil and infrastructure engineering matters. * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams as required. * Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and construction challenges. * Support stakeholder engagement with regulatory authorities and utility agencies on technical matters. * Identify and manage technical, safety, constructability, and interface risks. * Provide clear, structured, and traceable design review comments and recommendations. * Support value engineering, design optimization, and lifecycle cost assessments. * Review and validate: * - Design calculations and technical reports * - Drawings, specifications, and BIM models * - Design assumptions, criteria, and methodologies * Plan and manage design review scopes, deliverables, budgets, and schedules. * Develop and maintain design review plans, technical assurance frameworks, and review gates. * Monitor design progress against project milestones and contractual requirements. * Coordinate multidisciplinary inputs (civil, structural, geotechnical, utilities, traffic, environmental). * Manage internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. * Support change management, including assessment of design variations and impacts. * Provide input into project risk registers, mitigation strategies, and decision logs. * Contribute to project reporting on technical status, risks, and key decisions. * Act as a key technical interface with: * -Clients and project sponsors * -Approving authorities and regulators * -Design consultants and contractors * Lead or participate in design review workshops, technical meetings, and audits. * Support authority submissions and respond to review comments. * Provide expert advice during procurement, tender evaluations, and contractor clarifications. Professional Certifications Additional certifications in project management (PMP, CEng or equivalent) or specialized civil/infrastructure disciplines. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation and Modeling software (e.g., WaterGems, SewerGEMS, Infraworks In depth knowledge of local, state, and federal/standards (e.g., DOT, Municipal codes.) Qualifications Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field. Experience 8+ Years of experience in relevant field.
