Job Title: Project Manager - Sewerage & Drainage Company: Island Tower Electromechanical Works LLC Location: Dubai, UAE Experience: Minimum 10 years in Infrastructure, Sewerage & Drainage Contact: +971 56 412 4587 [email protected] Job Summary Island Tower Electromechanical is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee infrastructure projects involving sewerage networks, stormwater drainage systems, utility diversions, and related civil engineering works. The successful candidate will be responsible for project planning, execution, stakeholder coordination, resource management, contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management * Manage the complete lifecycle of infrastructure, sewerage, and drainage projects from mobilization to final handover. * Develop and monitor project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and construction methodologies. * Ensure project objectives are achieved in accordance with contract requirements and client expectations. * Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to address delays, risks, and cost overruns. Technical & Construction Oversight * Supervise construction activities related to sewerage networks, stormwater drainage systems, pumping stations and utility infrastructure. * Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and construction plans. * Coordinate with design consultants to resolve technical issues and design changes. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local authority requirements. Stakeholder Coordination * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and government authorities. * Lead project meetings and prepare progress reports, presentations, and correspondence. * Coordinate approvals, permits, inspections, and utility clearances with relevant authorities. Commercial & Contract Management * Monitor project costs, variations, claims, and procurement activities. * Review subcontractor performance and manage contractual obligations. * Support commercial teams in preparing claims, extension of time requests, and project close-out documentation. Health, Safety & Quality * Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental standards across all project activities. * Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and regulatory requirements. * Monitor quality control processes and ensure construction works meet approved standards and specifications. Team Leadership * Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, supervisors, surveyors, and subcontractors. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project staff. * Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment. Experience * Minimum 10–15 years of experience in civil infrastructure construction projects. * At least 5 years of experience in a Project Manager role. * Proven experience managing sewerage, stormwater drainage, infrastructure, and utility projects. * Experience with government, municipal, or large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable. Technical Skills * Strong knowledge of: * Sewerage networks and pumping systems * Stormwater drainage system * Civil construction methodologies * Contract administration and project controls * Proficiency in project management software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Preferred Experience (UAE/GCC) * Familiarity with local authority requirements and approvals, including: * Dubai Municipality * Roads and Transport Authority * Dubai Electricity and Water Authority * Dubai Development Authority * Experience delivering infrastructure projects within the UAE or GCC region.
