Projects Engineer

Job Summary The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing modular building projects for the Oil & Gas sector, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, budgets, and delivery schedules. The role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, and client teams to ensure successful project execution from inception through completion. The ideal candidate should possess strong experience in Oil & Gas projects, modular buildings, E-Houses, control rooms, accommodation modules, process skids, or related EPC projects. Key ResponsibilitiesProject Execution & Coordination * Coordinate all project activities from engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning through project closeout. * Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved within budget and timeline requirements. * Act as the focal point between clients, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments. * Ensure project deliverables meet contractual and technical requirements. Engineering Coordination * Review engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documents. * Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical, structural, electrical, instrumentation, and HVAC disciplines. * Resolve technical issues and support design reviews throughout the project lifecycle. * Ensure engineering deliverables are issued as per project schedules. Procurement & Material Coordination * Coordinate with procurement teams for timely sourcing and delivery of project materials and equipment. * Review material requisitions, vendor documents, and procurement schedules. * Monitor material availability to support fabrication and site activities. Fabrication & Production Coordination * Liaise with fabrication teams to ensure production activities align with project requirements. * Monitor fabrication progress, inspections, and quality compliance. * Coordinate material flow, production priorities, and delivery schedules. * Support resolution of fabrication and production-related issues. Site Coordination & Construction Support * Coordinate site activities, installation works, testing, and commissioning. * Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards. * Conduct site visits and progress reviews as required. * Support project handover and closeout documentation. Quality & HSE Compliance * Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, client specifications, and industry standards. * Coordinate inspections and testing activities with QA/QC teams. * Promote adherence to company HSE policies and project safety requirements. * Participate in audits, inspections, and safety meetings. Project Controls & Reporting * Track project progress against schedules and budgets. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. * Identify project risks, delays, and potential cost impacts. * Support project planning, forecasting, and resource allocation activities. Client & Stakeholder Management * Attend client meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions. * Manage client communications related to project execution. * Support commercial and contractual discussions when required. * Ensure client satisfaction through proactive project management and communication. Qualifications & ExperienceEducation * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Experience * Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas, EPC, Modular Building, E-House, Industrial Construction, or Manufacturing projects. * Proven experience managing or coordinating modular building projects, control rooms, substations, accommodation modules, process skids, or similar structures. * Experience working with fabrication yards, engineering teams, and site execution activities. Technical Skills * Strong understanding of project execution methodologies within the Oil & Gas industry. * Knowledge of modular construction, structural steel fabrication, mechanical systems, electrical systems, HVAC, and site installation practices. * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation. * Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/project management systems. Knowledge of Industry Standards * Oil & Gas project requirements and EPC project execution. * ISO standards and quality management systems. * ASME, API, AWS, ASTM, and relevant international engineering standards. * HSE regulations applicable to fabrication and construction projects.
