With a commitment to quality and operational excellence, we’re transforming the social commerce landscape in the MENA region. **Role Summary:** We’re looking for a Mid-Level QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team at Taager. This is a full-time, fully remote role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products across mobile, web, and backend systems. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for test execution, test design, and automation, while maintaining high-quality standards across the development lifecycle. **What will you do:** * Perform **manual testing** for web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance * Design, develop, and maintain **automated test scripts using Playwright** * Continuously improve test automation frameworks to increase **coverage, efficiency, and reliability** * Collaborate closely with **developers, product managers, and QA team members** to define and refine test scenarios * Create and maintain **clear, comprehensive test cases and documentation** * Execute **API testing** and validate backend services * Participate in **test planning, strategy, and estimation** activities * Conduct **system, integration, performance, and stress testing** * Track and manage bugs using **Jira**, ensuring clear reporting and follow-up * Contribute to improving overall **QA processes and best practices** **What will make you successful:** * **2+ years of hands-on experience** in both manual and automation testing * Strong experience in **mobile and web application testing** * Proficiency in **JavaScript or TypeScript** (preferred for Playwright) * Hands-on experience with **Playwright** for test automation * Experience in **API testing** (preferably using tools like Rest Assured or similar) * Familiarity with **Git** and **CI/CD tools** * Experience with **Jira** or similar test/bug tracking tools * Solid understanding of **software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices** **Nice to Have** * Experience using **AI tools to enhance testing workflows** * Familiarity with performance testing tools and practices **Soft Skills** * Strong **analytical and problem-solving skills** * High attention to detail and quality * Self-motivated with the ability to **prioritize tasks effectively** * Excellent **communication skills in English** (written and spoken) * Ability to collaborate with both **technical and non-technical stakeholders**
