QA/QC Engineer –Fit-Out Projects

**Position Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced **QA/QC Engineer** with a strong background in civil work and fit-out construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance and quality control systems to ensure all project activities comply with contractual requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes. **Key Responsibilities** **1. Quality Assurance & Control** * Develop, implement, and maintain **Project Quality Plans (PQP)**, **Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)**, Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards. * Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to approved quality processes. * Identify non-conformities and issue **Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)**. * Lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and verify their effectiveness. * Maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation, logs, and records. * Liaise with consultants and clients for inspection approvals and NCR closures. **2. Site Monitoring & Inspection** * Conduct routine and milestone inspections for civil and fit-out works including: * Concrete works * Reinforcement and formwork * Blockwork and plastering * Backfilling and compaction * Interior finishes and fit-out activities * Verify incoming materials (concrete, steel, finishing materials, etc.) against specifications. * Ensure all inspections are carried out as per approved ITPs. * Coordinate with third-party laboratories for material testing (e.g., compressive strength, FDT, etc.). **3. Documentation & Reporting** * Prepare and submit: * Inspection Requests (INRs) * Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) * Method Statements and checklists * Maintain QA/QC records including NCR logs, inspection reports, and test results. * Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports. * Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation control. **4. Coordination & Communication** * Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams. * Attend coordination meetings with consultants and clients. * Ensure proper sequencing of activities to avoid rework and delays. * Provide technical guidance on quality-related issues. * Promote quality awareness across the project team. **Qualifications & Skills** * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related discipline. * Minimum **10+ years of QA/QC experience** in civil and fit-out construction projects. * Strong knowledge of: * Construction standards and specifications * Quality management systems (ISO 9001 preferred) * Material testing and inspection procedures * Proficient in preparing QA/QC documentation (ITPs, PQPs, Method Statements). * Excellent communication and report-writing skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to quality improvement. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Must be currently in KSA or willing to relocate. **Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous)** * ISO 9001:2015 Internal/Lead Auditor * Certified QA/QC Engineer (ASQ or equivalent) * Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) Registration **Key Competencies** * Leadership and decision-making * Attention to detail * Risk assessment and mitigation * Team collaboration * Time management Work Location: In person
