Quality Engineer

**Job Title:** QA/QC Engineer **Job Location:** Umm Al Quwain, UAE **Job Type:** Full-time **Experience:** 7+ years QC/QA (in laboratory furniture) **Job description:** Seeking an experienced QA/QC assessor for technical/laboratory furniture. The selected candidate will oversee all QA/QC activities for the company’s fit-out & joinery projects. The role can also include visiting sites to ensure that installations are conducted properly, and the furniture is presented/constructed correctly as well as in the best way. Such sites include Schools, Universities, Clinics, Hospitals, Industrial Labs, etc. The responsibilities in this role will include: * Perform comprehensive inspections of joinery products such as cabinets, benches, doors, fixtures, etc. * Assess quality, accuracy, and ensure adherence to design/ production specifications. * Moreover, conduct tests and measurements to verify that products meet dimensional accuracy, functionality, and said performance requirements. * Identify defects, imperfections as well as any deviations from design and expected quality standards. Document all findings accurately. * Categorize defects based on severity and impact on product quality. * Maintain detailed records of inspection results, including photographs, measurements, and descriptions of defects. * Generate reports on inspection outcomes and share feedback with relevant departments. * Investigate the root causes of defects and quality issues, collaborate with production teams to identify corrective actions. * Collaborate with production and quality teams to implement process improvements that prevent defects and enhance overall product quality. * Develop QA/QC Documentation and Reporting Systems for the Project and Department (Manuals, Plans, ITPs, Procedures, Instructions, Inspection Forms and Quality Records, etc) for conducting day to day operations, tests and inspections of products, services or processes. * Develop & implement an Internal Compliance Audit Program under the relevant ISO standards. * Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts. * Works with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for all QC/QA related activities. * Ensure that all drawings are in line with project scope, contract specification and the company quality standards. * Check supplied materials, furniture or equipment match their specified areas and locations in the drawings during production and at the site. * Carry out final checks before the final handover of all projects. **Requirements:** The attributes we seek for this successful candidate include: * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in QA/QC for Joinery Production & Fit-out Projects (Ideally dealing with technical/laboratory furniture). * Computer literate in MS Word and Excel and working experience with Auto-CAD. * Must be well versed in applicable International Codes, Standards and Specifications of construction and maintenance/refurbishment. * Previous Middle East experience is preferred. **License/Certification:** * UAE Driving License (Preferred) Pay: Up to AED7,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
