Job Description
Make sure that all stakeholders to the S-813 Program are respecting state-of-threat practices in terms of Quality Assurance, during all phases of the program. This job description includes but is not limited to the following key Responsibilities: Monitor and drive the quality assurance aspects of the S-813 Program, both internally (NSSTC practices) and externally (in particular: S-813 Supplier practices) Provide quality assurance support to S-813 Program Manager in managing relations with UAESA (Sponsorship Agreement) and UAEU stakeholders Provide quality assurance support to S-813 System Lead, Spacecraft Lead and Ops/GS Lead, in managing relations with S-813 Supplier, from Supplier selection to in-orbit commissioning of S-813 system: - Review all Supplier deliverable documentation related to quality assurance, product development, integration, tests and validation practices - Attend all Program Reviews and provide quality assurance contribution to the washing-up of Review Items Discrepancies and Action Items, and to the follow-up of related minutes of meetings. - Prepare and attend any dedicated meetings in relation with product assurance and quality assurance. - Verify and approve the Supplier quality assurance plan, that shall be appended to the Supplier contract, and check in particular that: a) Supplier practices in terms of materials, mechanical parts, electrical components used to assemble the S-813 Spacecraft are fit for purpose for the S-813 mission b) Supplier practices in terms of ground software development, ground systems integration and validation and system maintenance are fit for purpose for the S-813 mission c) Supplier management processes and industrial processes respect stateof-the-art quality standards while combining with new space approach - Verify that the Supplier has taken the necessary steps to check and demonstrate that the System design meets the Customer specifications, through appropriate design reviews during design phase, then through System tests during Technical Qualification and Operational Qualification tests and the review of related tests reports - Support the System Lead in assessing the criticality of any system anomaly when raised and assess the effective closure when fixes are delivered by the Supplier Ensure QA coordination of the NSSTC S-813 team, working in close interaction with the System Lead, the Spacecraft Lead and the Ops/Ground Segment Lead.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Engineering filed
Preferred Qualification
Bachelor Degree in Engineering filed (Aerospace, Mechanical or relevant)
Expected Skills
Quality Assurance Management and Authority Ability to interact with internal and external resources Ability to issue QA recommendations to support System Lead and Program Manager decisions, with due account on impact of any recommendations on program cost and schedule Knowledge of quality assurance and product assurance practices and standards in space industry
