Scaffolding Team Leader (Bridge Maintenance)

Backed by a multidisciplinary team of civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical engineers, Waagner Biro Bridge Services is committed to quality, precision, and reliable infrastructure delivery across the region. **Job Description** We are seeking an experienced Scaffolding Team Leader / Supervisor to lead scaffolding and temporary access activities for bridge maintenance and rehabilitation projects in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising scaffold crews, ensuring safe erection and dismantling of access systems, conducting inspections, and maintaining compliance with project safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities * Supervise and coordinate scaffolding teams involved in bridge maintenance activities. * Oversee the erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding and temporary access systems in accordance with approved drawings and work plans. * Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements, working-at-height procedures, and scaffolding safety standards. * Conduct scaffold inspections, manage scaffold tagging systems, and authorize scaffolds for safe use. * Review and implement work plans, risk assessments, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA). * Coordinate with Engineers, Site Managers, HSE personnel, and maintenance teams to support project activities. * Monitor manpower productivity, material utilization, and work progress. * Maintain records of scaffold inventory, inspections, manpower, material usage, and incident reports. * Conduct toolbox talks and provide guidance and mentoring to scaffold crews. **Qualifications** * Minimum 5 years of scaffolding experience with at least 2 years in a Team Leader or Supervisory role. * Experience in bridge maintenance, infrastructure, highways, or major civil engineering projects. * Strong knowledge of scaffolding erection, inspection, dismantling, and safety requirements. * Ability to read scaffold drawings, access plans, and method statements. * Valid Scaffolding Supervisor certification or equivalent preferred. * Working at Height and Fall Protection training preferred. * Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills. * UAE experience is an advantage. **Additional Information** * Experience with suspended scaffolds, cantilever scaffolds, and bridge access systems. * Knowledge of scaffold inspection and tagging procedures. * Valid UAE Driving License is an advantage.
