Senior Accountant

**Job Title:** Senior Accountant **Location:** Sharjah, United Arab Emirates **Work Schedule:** 6 days a week, Saturday to Thursday (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) **Position Overview:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and supporting financial reporting and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. **Key Responsibilities** * Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes * Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports * Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts * Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS) and regulatory requirements * Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities * Manage fixed assets, accruals, and intercompany transactions * Coordinate with external auditors and assist in audit preparation * Review journal entries and ensure proper documentation and internal controls * Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency * Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff **Qualifications & Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field * Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred * Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience * Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and internal controls * Proficiency in ERP systems; **knowledge of Odoo software is considered a plus** * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools * Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities * High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail **Compensation & Benefits:** * Competitive salary package (based on experience). * Annual leave and public holidays as per UAE Labour Law. * Other benefits to be discussed during the interview.
