Senior Accountant

**Financial Reporting & General Ledger** * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS * Manage the general ledger, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments * Lead month-end and year-end closing processes * Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial records **Project Accounting & Cost Control (Core Focus)** * Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability across ongoing projects * Manage revenue recognition using the percentage of completion method * Analyze cost variances and provide clear, actionable insights * Review subcontractor costs, LPOs, and material consumption * Support tendering with financial analysis and cost evaluation **Receivables, Payables & Cash Flow** * Oversee invoicing, progress billing, and certification processes * Monitor customer collections and outstanding payments * Manage supplier and subcontractor payments * Assist in cash flow forecasting and working capital management **Compliance & VAT (UAE)** * Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations and timely filing * Maintain audit-ready financial records and VAT documentation * Enforce internal financial controls and company policies **Reconciliations & Asset Management** * Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations * Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules **Audit & Internal Controls** * Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits * Strengthen internal controls and help mitigate financial risks **Payroll & Management Reporting** * Review payroll accounting in coordination with HR * Prepare MIS and management reports for leadership decision-making * Provide financial insights to support strategic planning **Leadership & Coordination** * Liaise with banks, vendors, and government authorities * Supervise and guide junior finance staff when required * Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency Requirements & Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field * Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in UAE construction or landscaping * Strong expertise in project accounting and cost control * Solid knowledge of IFRS and UAE VAT regulations * Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel * Experience in audits and financial compliance * Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Preferred Qualifications * Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CA) * Experience in large-scale landscaping or infrastructure projects * Familiarity with BOQs, subcontracting, and procurement cycles * UAE driving license (optional) Job Type: Full-time Work Location: In person
