As the business continues to scale internationally, including expansion into the Middle East, we are looking for a highly capable Accountant to join our finance team and help support the next phase of growth. **The Role** We are seeking a commercially minded Accountant who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced international trading environment. This role will involve managing the day-to-day finance operations of the business while supporting management with reporting, controls, cash flow management, and financial insight. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and capable of operating independently in a rapidly evolving business. **Key Responsibilities** * Managing day-to-day accounting operations * Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports * Monitoring cash flow and supplier/customer payments * Bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and accounts * Managing VAT returns and compliance requirements * Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes * Assisting with audit preparation and statutory filings * Monitoring margins, costs, and profitability across trades * Working closely with management on financial strategy and operational efficiency * Supporting finance process improvements and automation initiatives * Liaising with external accountants, banks, and financial partners **Requirements** * Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) * Minimum 3 years’ accounting or finance experience * Strong understanding of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting * Experience with international transactions and multi-currency environments preferred * Strong Excel and financial systems knowledge * High attention to detail and strong organisational skills * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines * Commercial mindset with a proactive approach * Experience in trading, FMCG, wholesale, marketplace, or import/export businesses is advantageous **What We Offer** * Opportunity to join a rapidly scaling international business * Exposure to global trade and high-growth markets * Dynamic and entrepreneurial environment * Significant opportunity for progression as the company expands * Competitive salary package based on experience **Location** Flexible / Hybrid Preference for candidates who can work closely with management and operate within our international business hours.
