Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the financial operations of our growing retail projects, including our hypermarket. We need a professional who is deeply familiar with the fast-paced nature of the retail industry and can ensure 100% accuracy in high-volume transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Operations: Manage daily sales reconciliation from multiple POS terminals and ensure accurate cash/card settlements.
Inventory Control: Oversee stock audits, manage SKU-level inventory, and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
System Management: Utilize ERP systems (experience with Gravity software is a major advantage) to track sales, purchases, and expenses.
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for individual branches and the group.
Compliance: Handle UAE VAT registration, quarterly return filings, and ensure compliance with Corporate Tax regulations.
Supplier Management: Manage Accounts Payable, reconcile vendor statements, and optimize payment cycles.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with at least 3 years specifically in a Hypermarket or Large Retail environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA, ACCA, or CMA candidates preferred).
Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in modern ERPs.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE Labor Law, and FTA VAT regulations.
Attributes: High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and strong leadership skills.
